Hello, Contestants!

The balance changes included in the upcoming 4/26 update are listed below. Read on for details!

[Aliens]

  • Puppeteer: converted units will lose 50% → 60% of HP
  • Leecher Den: Cost 5 → 6, HP 1134 → 1418 (+25.0%)

Puppeteer has always been one of the top counterattackers, but it’s proved to be a little too powerful of late. This nerf should maintain Puppeteer’s effectiveness while evening out the playing field.

Leecher Den allows Alien deck users to effortlessly gain a Soul Power advantage in battle. We’ve raised its cost to soften this advantage slightly. However, since Leecher Den is at a major disadvantage against enemy magic attacks, we’ve also given it a decent HP boost.

[Gaia Neutral]

  • Miner Mech: HP 5954 → 5507 (-7.6%), Booby Trap Deployment 10 → 8s
  • Armorpod: Attack Power 108 → 126 (+16.6%)
  • Demolisher: Booby Trap Deployment 1 → 0s (Booby Trap Deployment no longer required), Attack Power 202 → 227 (+12.3%)

Due to Miner Mech’s relatively long booby trap deployment time, if used early in battle, a player can wait for their Soul Power to replenish and then unleash a wave of unstoppable attacks. A shorter deployment time and a nerf to its HP should make it less of a force so early on in battles.

With its hard outer shell, Armorpod can take heavy enemy fire head-on. However, its low attack power means it’s not so difficult for enemy units to deal with. An attack power buff should make it more of a formidable contender on the battlefield.

Demolisher’s undergone a few renovations back at the factory—these latest boosts should turn it into an explosive force with rapid speed. Enemy Guardians watch out…

[Beasts]

  • Horn Chicken: Attack Power 90 → 108 (+20.0%)
  • Lupine Warrior: Attack Power 126 → 135 (+7.1%), [Bloodlust] deal 38 → 45 (+18.4%) more damage

Horn Chicken has a brand new horn! And its sound waves pack a whole new kind of punch…

Since we nerfed Lupine Warrior’s Enrage effect back in the 3/1 update, its usage and win rates have taken a hefty hit. After two seasons of observations, we’ve decided a little power boost is in order.

[Eiden Neutral]

  • Geo-Tower: HP 2084 → 2470 (+18.5%), Structure’s Duration 20 → 30s
  • Kazamaru: [Passive] the extra slash attack does an extra 490 → 469 (- 4.3%) damage
  • Mad Axe: Attack Power 121 → 132 (+9.0%), Attack Distance 9 → 10

No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you. We’re buffing Geo-Tower again. Maybe it’s fallen into a total state of disrepair—no matter what we do, we can’t seem to get back its original power. We’re pretty sure we’re on the right track though.

After returning from a period of intense training on 3/29, Kazamaru’s swordplay has become absolutely unstoppable. The team had a word with him to try and get him to take it a little more easy on the battlefield. Kazamaru refused without a second thought. After much bowing and pleading, we finally got Kazamaru to agree to swap his sword for one not so incredibly sharp.

This buff to Mad Axe’s attack power allows it to take out similar units such as Marine Corps, Smart Shooter and Ballister in just a few hits—hopefully just the boost Mad Axe needs.
