In the upcoming 10/27 update, we expect to perform balance changes to the following cards:
Engineer: Battlecry’s restoration of the Guardian’s HP 400→200 (-50%)
Energy Beacon: Attack speed increase effect 70%→60%
The combo of the Energy Beacon and the Engineer has been a commonly seen strategy at this stage. We didn’t want to weaken this so much that it can’t be used, but we also don’t want to see it become the only choice when playing as the Republic.
For this reason, we’ve made a small adjustment to the Energy Beacon and we’ll continue to observe the diversity of Republic battle strategies in the near future. As for the weakening of the Engineer, this is to reduce the number of draws.
- Vindicator: Attack distance 16→13, Movement speed 6.8→7.5, Attack power 170→208 (+22%)
The Vindicator is set as a long-distance tank and with these adjustments, it will no longer be able to attack the Guardian without being damaged. But with this, it will be able to actualize its function as a tank, taking hits from the Guardian for its allies. The increase in movement speed is to allow it to plow ahead and get to the frontline even faster.
- Riot Trooper: Activates Taunt every 10→7 seconds
Based on the data, the Riot Trooper has not been performing optimally at this stage. Increasing the rate at which Taunt is activated should allow it to better protect those allies behind it.
- Terminite Queen: Attack speed 1.5→2 (Every second damage -25%)
Last season we weakened Terminite Queen’s attack power a teeny bit. After another season of observations, we think that the Terminite Queen’s ability to take on the Beasts and Empire is still too strong. Decreasing the attack speed will weaken its output ability significantly, requiring more time to produce an army of Terminites and giving its opponent enough time to take it out.
- Twisted Vine: Decreased attack speed effect 25%→20%
We believe the Twisted Vine’s powerful defense abilities results in too many draws, so we’ve weakened its ability.
- Horn Chicken: Attack power 76→81 (+7%)
After this change, a Horn Chicken will be able to kill a Terminite of the same level with one attack; originally it took two attacks.
- Fugitive: Summons 3→4 each time
We’ve increased the number of Fugitives that are summoned so that they’re not just a weaker version of the Arachling.
- Macer: Sense effect’s healing of self HP 160→240 (+50%)
We’ve enhanced the Macer’s Sense effect, increasing its ability to survive as a tank.
- Ana: Attack power 292→250 (-14%)
The data has shown that Ana has maintained a high win rate. Due to her unique skill, she is a difficult opponent to deal with. We considered dropping her HP, but in the end, we decided that she remain an annoyance to her enemy. At least her attacks won’t hurt so much.
- Ballista: HP 675→756 (+12%)
We’ve slightly adjusted Ballista’s HP to match the 5 Soul Power cost. We hope this helps the Beasts lack of long-distance cannons, allowing it to achieve victory along with the Greenwood Archers.
(The above refers to the lowest level of the cards, and the percent values are rounded to the nearest integer. For actual content, see the in-game info.)
